I have taught in the Silver Valley School District for twenty-one years. I have a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Technology and have been certified in all subjects by the Verification Process for Teachers in Special Settings (VPSS) by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools to better provide my students with a quality education.

The major objective of the Independent Study
Program is to provide an individualized course
of study designed for those students in situations
where their special interest, abilities, or individual
needs are not being met through traditional
instructional approaches. Some acceptable reasons
may include, but are not limited to medical conditions,
child-rearing responsibilities, hardships, employment,
safety issues and religious factors.

The course of study is through Apex Learning, an
online digital curriculum and is available anywhere
there is access to the internet. The curriculum and
course work may include discussions, exams, quizzes,
practices, and tests. They may include both online and
or written assignments. Any worksheets that needs to
be printed may be done so in the computer lab.
